Long Live the Revolution!
It’s been quiet on the blog for a really long time. We’ve been super busy with some things, not the least of which is planning the next Live the Revolution party. And — guess what — the party’s happening next week!
Live the Revolution is our fun way of giving back to the community. Started in 2010 by then-Epic Wheel Works, LTR was an excuse for Jude to celebrate her first year in business. There was a tire changing contest! A silent auction! Dancing! And a surprise appearance by a marching band (ya never know what’s gonna happen!)
The previous LTRs have raised over $10,000 for the BTA’s education programs. This support has helped the BTA do some great things — like initiate their Jump Start Program in Gresham, expanding their education outside Portland’s city boundaries.
The past few years have seen the event mature from a tire-changing party into a significant storytelling event. We’re really excited about this year’s lineup:
Acclaimed Chef of Clyde Common Chris Dimmino!
Online editor for Bitch magazine Sarah Mirk!
Writer and photographer extraordinaire Heidi Swift!
It’s all going down at the Clinton Street Theater this Thursday, the 17th.
Doors open at 5:30, stories start at 6:30.
